Coffs Coast Waste Services is a regional partnership between Coffs Harbour City Council, Bellingen and Nambucca Shire Councils and Handybin Waste Services for the collection of household waste on the Coffs Coast.

2009 Booklet & Calendars
New 2009 collection calendars and a comprehensive Waste-Wise information booklet - with a magnetic strip to stick the booklet onto your fridge - were delivered to Coffs Coast residents in February/March 2009. Copies are available on our downloads page.

The 3-bin system
Coffs Coast Waste Services started operating in November 2005. Residents of Coffs Harbour, Bellingen and Nambucca now have three large bins (green, yellow and red) plus a small kitchen organics bin.

Read more about the background of Coffs Coast Waste Services, about the Materials Recovery Facility (where contents of the yellow bins go for recycling) or the Biomass Facility, where high quality composts are produced from contents of the green bins and the red bin contents are processed to recover low quality compost, metals and other recoverables.

Need a bigger yellow bin?
Do your recyclables not fit into your yellow bin each fortnight? Coffs Coast residents can order an extra recycling bin or a 360L bin (50% bigger than the standard 240L wheelie bin) for a small extra charge. Call 1800 265 495 for further information.
