Asbestos packages will be inspected by landfill staff both on arrival and prior to unloading, and any suspect loads will be rejected. Customers should note that any suspected asbestos waste must be handled, managed and disposed of in accordance with WorkCover guidance. This information can be found by visiting the WorkCover website.

Appropriately wrapped asbestos waste, will only be received at the Englands Road waste facility on Thursday and Friday afternoons between 1pm and 3pm. Prior arrangement must be made before these materials will be received.

Please Note: The City of Coffs Harbour has temporarily deferred receipt of asbestos from customers until the Thursday 17th December 2026.
